FINAL POSTAL ORDER DAY for Christmas is TOMORROW Thursday 15th December. Local, Bristol area, in-person market details at end of post.
In the way it goes sometimes, the longer you leave something the harder it is to get back to it, and this INKLINGS space has been a little like that of late.
So I have decided to take radical action!
I shall be spending the six weeks between Winter Solstice (next week) until Imbolc - (the very beginnings of spring) in early February off social media and sharing a little INKLINGS something each week on a Wednesday.
I have a lot to fill you in about. A lot of half tended ideas and pieces of writing about the work and explorations that have been going on here this last few months.
I intend to honour the dark, incubation time, take space away from the flashy lights and intoxicatingly daft reels of The Gram and deepen a little into dream space.
This will be a writing practice.
A six week self-led workshop for one!
Feel free to join me in making a weekly writing/making/napping/walking ritual in those days too, if you would like to.
I walk with you through these winter days, when the sunlight can feel far away and the unknown guts of things lurking in the shadows.
Tendrils of colour, connection, curiosity, care.
I will be writing more next Wednesday about what this INKLINGS is all about. What the roots are. What the wish is. An inkling that that emerges. You can then decide if it’s somewhere you’d like to hang out in, and if it’s not your cup of tea you are most welcome to unsubscribe and free up your precious energy for other things, and indeed cups of tea.
Until then, be wary of the ice on those snowy hills (i came a cropper yesterday, but am chuffed with myself I managed to manoeuvre my van out of an ice rink!) and I wish you much physical and familial/community warmth over the coming days.
Take a look in the NATURAL INK. shop for Christmas gifts.
